Manage My Collectibles Software
My last post here on SUPERDOLL and other blogs was about your doll collections worth? Looking for just the right kind of inventory tracker specifically for Doll collectibles was harder than I had thought. WHY? There are so many different types of collecting and don't get me started on the prices for some of the software I did locate and try out. The software out on the internet starts at $19.99 and can go as high as $200.00. Pending on what type of collection you own and want to keep track of, be it Price, Series, LE, etc. you almost have to take a leap as I did and pray it is going to fit your needs. Which brings me to the software I did choose. I wanted to update my last post with you all as I have found this program of $29.99 so far to be just what the "DOLLY" ordered.
It has a built in database for the obvious Mattel/Barbie, American Girl, etc. I collect Sybarites, WCLUB, and JamieShow so I had to customize the inventory database to my specifications which was not very difficult. This way when I go to add in each item be it a Doll, or creating a special entry for FBR/Fashion and accessories all I have to do is use the pull down menus making data entry much easier. What is time consuming is building your Database. At first I thought I would just do a database of the items I already owned, but then thought why not just add as much information on as many items I either own or interested in so this way if I was to buy a new item I could easily keep track of it with this software. As you can see by this screenshot below are some of the categories asked to build your doll database.
I look forward to running my first report on this software and see how it or how I did with my data entry. Looking to share this with you all as soon as I am close to getting it completed. Oh and one more thing you are allowed to add up to two photographs of your items each which is so very handy.

What is your Dolls Dollar Sign?
Insurance for our beloved dolls is so important, but it is also time consuming pending on how large your doll collection is. I have been working on getting my collection insured as I live in Oklahoma with Tornado Alley just down the block. I won't lie and say it is not time consuming however it is also great for organizing.
I searched long and hard for a program or utility to help me inventory all of my items. I tried the free ones, and tested the expensive trials offered by others. I settled on a all purpose built program made with the doll collector in mind. I have the links to both the program and the Collectibles Insurance policy company I am now working with.
I know many of my Sybarite friends have EXPENSIVE collections and I can't believe I didn't think of doing this sooner. We buy all the Haute couture Luxury can buy, display cabinets of all shapes and sizes to showcase our love for our dolls, but forget about Mother Nature or God Forbid a break in? I hope these links will help you find some inner peace as it has helped me in more ways than one.

Dreams come true
With Easter coming always reminds me of those yellow sugar coated shaped birds called "Peeps". However the Haute Easter Bunny left me one of if not THE aside from Tattoo coveted Sybarite Peep.
Yes there are others more coveted like Blanche or Necro Peep, but when taking all of the LE 50 and above editions. Selling my Beloved Inque and then some allowed me this chance of a lifetime.
Plus she is a true NRFB. I WISH I could at least have a glass of champagne when I will remove her from snug satin home and let her stretch. Ironically, Peep was the 2009 PFDF doll. Fidle' this years festival doll arrived safe and sound yesterday. Fidle' is a beautiful dark lady with piercing eyes and knives to boot. One golden sword held over one shoulder as if it was this seasons hottest accessory.
I am struggling with keeping her but I decided to not debox her until a decision is made. Why? Remember Masque? Well I struggled with her as well since buying her in October. My decision has been made...she stays. Opening her the night I opened Peep will go down in my Sybarite Fantasy escapes to date. All it took was a little patience, well allot of patience and some really amazing collectors to make one dream come true. PeeP is one exotic Beauty and when you have an idea of what you find beautiful and want to display it be it art, sculpture, portraits, or in my case a beautiful Haute Couture Fashion Doll called the Sybarites it is thrilling when your vision is begins to take shape and you see the final result or finish line within your grasp.
I thought I wanted just one Sybarite and was amazed at their hypnotic power. I have no business collecting these dolls as they can be an expensive hobby, but if one is willing to go without new clothes, vacations, or a car so be it. It is the one thing I can count on to view which will never let me down when their is so much ugliness and evil in the world.

Suspicion or Shocked?
When last we met a short story "Haute Homicide" starring the Innoquii's Part 1 was revealed. Today I am posting Part 2 or Frame two to this suspicious and tragic story.
Have you been able to put the clues together yet? Notice the introduction of " The Nurse" Innoquii as she seems shocked and even admiring the Jewels in hand The Traveler seems suspicious. Two different dolls with two different emotions.

Haute Homicide
Sybarite Super Duo created 4 smaller porcelain dolls with glass eyes named the Innoquii's. Each with a title such as "Picnic', "Nurse", "The Bride" and an Exclusive only to Angelic Dreamz know simply as "The Traveler". However, this photo portrays them more like a "Grifter" which works well as a Traveler.

What a morning!!! I always enjoy the electricity in SM with all waiting with anticipation. Karin brought Virtual Lady Macaroons to a very busy thread. We were all surprised by the sneak peek prior to her release on the SuperFrock.com Homepage. Though I adore this doll I am unable to add her to my collection ....Just yet???
I will have to wait as excitement dies down and she is offered on the secondary market. I have said many times how the doll community as a whole are very loyal and mostly become more than people we buy/trade with but friendships start which I really enjoy.
However, take this same doll community and ask "what doll is Superior?" soon will find Doll Lines Die hard fans debating you but all in fun. But their are a few out there who I choose to call the "The Doll DEFENDERS" which at times can be a bit ugly.
Enthusiasm, Excitement, and Education on a doll line you love and appreciate is to be expected. I myself at times have joined in a thread of defense on public doll boards defending my love for WClub, JamieShow and of course The Sybarites but never in a malicious way. I would strongly urge against posting "Blank" doll is Superior or Better than other doll lines.
We all know in our hearts what dolls are superior and I will admit prior to my fanaticism with the Sybarites used to think no doll could outdo Barbie? I still believe this as she was the first on the scene and without her their would be no other Fashion Dolls. But paying homage to Barbie is one thing screaming she is the BEST Doll Overall is a totally different beast.
For those of you who did score a Pompadour this 2012 Valentines Day with SuperFrock I say Congratulations and share photos with all of us soon.

This ad for the Sybarites and with purple being my favorite color love the added sex appeal. Below is the advertisement for the Paris Fashion Doll Festival featuring the best event of the weekend "Le Belle Fide'les" The Sybarites, Venus D' Royce.
I am in LOVE with this new ad campaign and can only imagine what the superguys have in store for all us. If you have the latest FDQ Spring Craft edition with Marilyn's coverage of last years "The Scarlet Ribbon affair" take a close look at the photo on the second page with the Chalk Whites at the table on gold chairs. It is just a guess, but if you look at the PFDF ad above and a certain Chalk White in the photo they seem to have the exact same hairstyle. Now I am not suggesting a "Chalk White Sybarite" for those of us who buy the LE lines, but it is worth noticing the hairstyle and imagining what she will look like when all is revealed.
